Ron, a Nevada City resident since 2004, created and produced “Dragon Tales,” the children’s animated series that aired on PBS from 1999 to 2011. The show’s themes were designed to help children face the many challenges of growing up. The child characters were empowered to help dragons work through their problems, was inspired by Ron’s 21-year career working with children in public education. Ron and the series were three-time nominees for Emmy Awards.

In addition to dragons, Ron’s exhibit in BriarPatch’s Good Food Gallery will include his watercolor paintings of nature. Framed reproductions will be for sale.

Ron loves to share his dragon drawings, and he invites children who would like their very own free drawing to visit him on the Patch patio from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 7; Sunday, October 9; and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday October 14, 15, and 16.
