The aim of Super Tuber Farm is to produce the tastiest, high quality organic food in a manner that enriches the soil in which it is grown, the hands of those who grow it, and the bellies of those who eat it,” reads the farm’s mission statement.
Founded in 2012 by Jeremy Mineu, Super Tuber grows more than just amazing, super-tasty potatoes. During the Patch-sponsored farm tour coming up on Sunday, August 28, guests will also get to admire the farm’s fields of carrots, cabbages, and kale — all newly planted for the winter harvest.
“We will also have a field of potatoes that will be harvested a few weeks after the tour and stored for winter. I’ll wash some carrots and bring them out as samples,” said Jeremy.
Super Tuber Farm is located on 12780 Spenceville Road in Penn Valley. Jeremy says it’s easy to find — just follow the signs to Pilot Peak Winery, which is right behind the farm, and look for the Super Tuber banner out on the road.
BriarPatch will supply coffee, melons, baked goods, and a couple of shade canopies. See you there!
