Community Capacity Building Program

To support our community, BriarPatch offers several volunteer opportunities with the Community Capacity Building Program, in which Co-op Owner Volunteers may earn a 10% discount by sharing their time and energy with a variety of affiliated nonprofit organizations.

The program is designed to help build capacity at participating organizations.

To volunteer in this program, please follow these steps:

  1. Sign up as a BriarPatch Owner Volunteer by filling out our volunteer application. Please contact Chelle Wheatley, Owner Relationship Coordinator, at for an application.
  2. Meet with Chelle about volunteer opportunities, and let her know which participating group you are interested in.
  3. Contact the partner organization to schedule your volunteer time. To receive volunteer credit, promptly submit to BriarPatch your signed BriarPatch Volunteer Work Record slips, available at the Customer Service desk.
